COASTAL ACTIVITY HUB
Dream and relax on the ocean while devouring the expansive vistas across the Straights of Georgia. Gaze at the snow capped mountains as the sun warms your very soul. A tranquil spot where you will only hear bird calls and the gentle sound of the water lapping on your hull. Take the dinghy for a cruise or dive into the warm water straight from your bow. Admire Savary Island, Powell River and the Sunshine Coast.
You will love to wander and marvel at the work the two brothers, Fred and Charlie who in the late 19th century, creatively developed Lund into a small yet thriving coastal waypoint. Lund was one of only two certified post offices operating north of Vancouver.
Today Lund is a hub of coastal activity. The bustling harbour is home to a fleet of commercial prawn boats, sail boats and recreational motor vessels. The small community is a base for nature enthusiasts who want to discover Desolation Sound, coastal inlets and islands. Nancy’s Bakery is famous for delicious breads and incredible blackberry sticky buns. Flo’s Starboard Café offers a great view over the harbour, unique decor and great casual food. The historic North Lund Hotel is at the heart of this small community. The Lund Hotel has been recently restored and features 31 rooms, general store, liquor store, restaurant and pub. The decks of the Lund pub and restaurant has become a favorite for locals, guests and boaters passing through.
