The rig and sail configuration features a shorter boom for ease of maneuvering, and the fully-battened mainsail is broader near the head, taking advantage of less turbulent wind for improved performance. The mast is set further aft to provide greater sailing advantage, and the self-tacking genoa has a larger fore-triangle for a greater choice of downwind sails. With electric halyard winches aboard, sailing short-handed is a breeze aboard Water Dragon. The spacious cockpit and full enclosure provide protection from the elements any time of year.

The ergonomic helm station features B&G instruments, improved circulation forward and aft, direct access to the coach roof, and easy communication between the cockpit and saloon. The four 100-watt solar panels on the sun deck provide additional support to the house bank when enjoying remote anchorages.
