Have you been looking to learn how to handle a powerboat and receive an IYT: International Yacht Training – ICC: International Certificate of Competency for powerboats, along with exploring our beautiful west coast shoreline? This is one way to combine a powerboat course and powerboat cruising. We are an accredited IYT – International Yacht Training, and CRYA sailing school. The recognized certification by the EU is the IYT – ICC certification. We may recommend working towards the IYT – ICC Powerboating certification. The IYT – Online preparation courses are offered online and are required to complete an on-water practical component. Once the on-water component has been successfully achieved you will be invited by your instructional skipper to complete a written examination. This is similarly designed to the online course modules and preparatory tests. We facilitate many Basic – Intermediate & Coastal Navigation Powerboat courses for 5 days and 5 nights, with your first pre-board night at the charter base. The course fee includes 5 days of instructional cruising through the Gulf Islands on board one of our 32 – 44’ powerboats, the cost of the instructional skipper, all moorage and fuel fees, shared accommodation, full linen and all meals.
